Samantha Jessing, FNP-C

Dr. Nanette Cook is excited to announce the addition of Samantha Jessing, NP-C to the Cobb Vinings Gynecology Team.

Samantha obtained both her Bachelors and Master of Science in Nursing at Kennesaw State University with a focus in family practice and primary care. She completed training in women’s health, internal medicine, urgent care, and aesthetics/medical weight loss. Before becoming a family nurse practitioner, Samantha also specialized in maternal-child nursing for five years.

When asked why she chose women’s health as a career path, Samantha replied, “As a woman in medicine, I realized how little women are taught about their bodies, particularly when it comes to sexual health, postpartum recovery and perimenopause.” She continued, “I get great fulfillment from educating my patients about their bodies, listening to their stories, and empowering them with the knowledge and support they need to take control of their own health.”

In her free time, you will find Samantha immersed in a fantasy novel or attending a renaissance or anime convention (pre-pandemic, of course!). She says she is learning to prioritize self-care with activities such as yoga, skincare, and meal prep as she believes these things are key to staying healthy and confident.

Samantha is a newlywed who also serves as a lecturer of nursing at Kennesaw State University.
